The Victorian state government has announced that its state-nominated skilled visa program for the 2023-24 year will officially close to new Registrations of Interest (ROI) at 5 PM AEST on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. This update is crucial for prospective applicants under the skilled visa categories, particularly for those interested in the subclass 190 and subclass 491 visas.
During the 2023-24 program year, the Australian Government allocated Victoria a total of 3,300 skilled visa places, with 2,700 designated for the subclass 190 visa and 600 for the subclass 491 visa. Approximately 3,200 of these nominations have already been used.
SuccessVisa urges all interested parties to ensure their ROI submissions are completed promptly to secure a chance for nomination before the closure. Although new ROIs will not be accepted after the deadline, SuccessVisa will continue to assess all submitted ROIs for any remaining nomination places available for this program year.
This development is significant for those looking to migrate under Victoria's skilled visa program and emphasizes the necessity of timely and accurate application submissions.
